Let the planning begin!

Step 1: Commit your VBS and the results to the Lord. Ask others to join you in prayer.
Step 2: Order the planning kit of your choice: VBS 2012 Super Sampler, VBS 2012 Sampler, or the Club VBS: SpaceQuest Starter Kit.
Step 3: Set a date for VBS on your church calendar. Don’t forget to try on the VBS 2012 Head Boppers and sing along to the Amazing Wonders Aviation theme song!
Step 4: Enlist a VBS director.
Step 5: Determine the number of classes and leaders needed.
Step 6: Determine a budget. Use the Administrative Guide for Directors to help you. Each planning kit mentioned above includes an administrative guide.
Step 7: Order additional resources. You’ll need a Leader Pack for each classroom, a Leader Guide for each teacher, and Learner Guides for each child that attends. Those are the basics. Decide if you will need worship resources beyond what comes in the planning kit and if you want to order promotional materials or other resources.
Step 8: Get the word out! Thorough publicity is a key to success.
Step 9: Join the community on the VBS Web site or on Facebook.
Step 10: Engage in discussion on the VBS blog! There’s nothing more fun than hanging out with other “veebeeologists”!
